A copyright may be filed for Literary Work, Music, Artistic Work, Records of Advertisement Work, Documentary, Music Video, TV Programs, Tutorial, Cinematic Works, Drama, Computer Software, Television Broadcastings, Radio Broadcastings, Website, Email and Electronic Communications and etc.
To obtain a copyright registration in Bangladesh, the procedure which involves filing an application with the Copyright Office, Bangladesh which is then examined for registerability under the Copyright Act 2000. If there are no objections the copyright will be registered and a registration certificate will be issued.
A copyright application has specific legal requirements if it is to be acceptable.
A registered copyright is in force for a period of sixty years.
A Registered copyright enables you to stop third parties from making, offering,
putting on the market, importing, exporting, using or stocking a product which is to your copyright.
There are a number of benefits to owning a registered copyright. The existence of your registration may act as a deterrent and stop anyone infringing your artistic work. It is also much easier to take legal action against anyone who uses your artistic work without your permission
